The Living The Dream podcast was created to share the message that God is crossing the world from nation to nation and the foreign born internationals living anywhere is a member of God’s Church, regardless of who they are, where they came from or where they currently are residing. COVID-19 may have put a stop to international travel but the day will come when international travel will resume. This will mean that people will begin to migrate once more and foreign born internationals will continue to move. All of these people are a member of your community, they belong here and God guided them to where they currently are, the same way that God has guided you to the same place as well. That is Living the Dream podcast’s main message to everyone. God’s Church is a church of every nation, every tribe, every tongue who worships the throne of our Lord, Jesus Christ and Heaven.Living The Dream podcast will be transitioning to Audacious Generosity podcast and, in Audacious Generosity podcast, we celebrate giving without the pressure to give. Audacious Generosity is where God is the Giver and giving depends on what God puts into our hands. We all have that innate desire to be more generous but we don’t know how. What’s worse is that most of us feel like we have nothing left to give and that fear of failure is what keeps us from being generous. We are overwhelmed by the pressure of having to give even when we are maxed out financially or we are already overbooked and the frustration we feel comes from the endless sense that we ought to give more even though we cannot see a clear path of how to become more generous. But it doesn’t have to be that way. God’s strategy is through audacious generosity and nothing shows this more than John 3:16. God’s plan has always been Jesus and his strategy has always been Audacious Generosity. It is because of this that we are transitioning from Living the Dream podcast to Audacious Generosity podcast. This does not mean that it will invalidate our mission in Living the Dream podcast. We will continue to champion the message that there is a great need to reach the foreign born international just like in the Living the Dream podcast but it is also invaluable that we understand God’s strategy. With both the message and the understanding of God’s strategy, we will be able to move forward and carry the message successfully.Because of this, beginning the 3rd of November, Living the Dream podcast will transition to Audacious Generosity Podcast. No need to move, no need to resubscribe, all you need to do is to continue to listen and we hope that you will share each and every episode. Encourage everyone to get on board with the revolution of audacious generosity. This is where we will gather as believers in the Lord, Jesus Christ around the world to fulfill the great mission. Not just here in the United State, not just in India but to every corner of the world.____________Global Hope India: For over 20 years we have been watching God radically transform thousands of Americans & Indian Nationals through missions. Mary was born in Ghana and is currently living in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She was born into a Christian family and she went to a public Muslim school when she was young. In that school, there would be a period when her Muslim schoolmates would learn about the Koran adn their religion while the non-Muslim students would be visited by missionaries from United States. It was during those periods that the missionaries would teach about the bible and preach the gospel, teaching the Word of God. She became interested as, even though she was born into a Christian family, she wanted to learn more about the Bible and about the Word of God.Even if one was born from a Christian family, with Christian grandparents and parents, it does not mean that they are Christians. To become a real Christian, we must make the conscious decision to give our life to Christ and be born again. For Mary, it was a slow but rewarding process. She grew up learning the scriptures, remembering the songs and committing to memory the teaching the missionaries have given to them. Even after they had changed their home, those lessons stayed in her heart. It was a seed that she had nurtured as it kept growing and growing. It was when she was around 20 years old that she really dedicated her life to Christ. It was when she came to India for the first time and saw the missionaries there that she realized that she wanted to be one, it was her calling to be a missionary. When she was still working, she would use her vacation time to go on a mission trip for she knew that God gave her this free time from her job so that she could have more time for missions.God brought the missionaries into her life and allowed her to take a living relationship with God through Jesus Christ, not by just being labeled as a member of a Christian family but by being born again as a follower of Christ. Mary is a true description of a missionary. She was guided into this life when God sent the missionaries to her when she was a child and, now, she welcomes God’s plan to send her to be a missionary to others. With this, the cycle goes on. One person that has been touched by the word of God and His love would pass that one to another person. And this person will hopefully touch another person’s life and open their eyes to God’s everlasting love. That is what it means to be a missionary.____________Global Hope India: For over 20 years we have been watching God radically transform thousands of Americans & Indian Nationals through missions. Regardless of where we were born, where we are living right now and the circumstances that brought us to our current destination, we are all living in His earth, His land. He comes to us as the sovereign Lord King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He welcomes us to life and wants us to choose life, to us Him as Savior and Lord. He is a God that comes to welcome us and has done everything He needs to do for all of us to have access to Him.Even though, as the bible has said clearly, that we have sinned and fallen short of the glory of our God, still He loves us so much that He gave His one and only son, Jesus, so that we have access to the Almighty guide. It is thru His death that we have been given the ability to live, to know that we can have forgiveness for our sins. As we put our faith in the Lord, in Jesus Christ, in doing so we are welcomed. The fear of wrath has been eliminated and we are given freedom to go boldly in the presence of God. And our creator, the lover of all our souls, declares to us that we belong here. We belong in His family, we belong as His children, as citizens of Heaven. Whether we are foreign born or not, we all belong here in His land, in the presence of His love. You didn’t choose to be here, you were chosen by the sovereign plan of the Almighty God and brought here.If all the followers of Jesus Christ would rise up and go out this week to say to each single international you meet while looking at them in the eye, just say three words. You belong here. You’re welcome here. You’re accepted here. You’re wanted here. You’re needed here. Those three words are the same ones that God has graciously said to all of us and we should do everything we can to repeat those three words to as many people we can possibly tell it to, to your community, to everyone, not just the foreign born. For no matter where we may come from, where we may be at this very moment, we are where God wants us to be and where we are needed to be. We are where we are welcomed because everywhere belongs to God Himself and He welcomes us all. No matter what hardship we may face, no matter what harsh words and deeds we may experience, do not forget. You are welcomed here. You are needed here. You are loved.____________Global Hope India: For over 20 years we have been watching God radically transform thousands of Americans & Indian Nationals through missions. In last week’s episode, we talked about Hamid’s story of coming into faith. As he was finishing his studies in India and about to go back to Iran, their youth camp group committed to pray for him every day as he went back to Iran. Even though he felt pressure from his family, he was resolute in his Christian faith. Justin continued to pray for him so he will never get weak and he will be more strong and faithful to God.What attracted Hamid was the worship. He was led to a living relationship with God by watching other followers of Jesus worship Jesus. It made him curious and created opportunities for discussion between him and Justin. It was attractive for him to see the believers’ passion for the Lord. Seeing the believers’ love and passion for the Lord made a huge impact on Hamid.Justin shares some practical things that anyone can do in reaching foreign born internationals like Hamid in our community. Praying for them is the first and one of the simplest acts that anyone can do. Pray for them to give their lives to Christ and point them to Jesus. Another thing is to introduce them to other believers and just let God work in that new relationship. One more important thing is to show them real generosity and to never give up on them. There will always be someone if you'll just keep asking, if you’ll just keep building friendships, there will be someone who is going to be ready. That someone will become a seeker and become a follower of Christ. And when we reach the foreign born international living in the US, we can then partner with them to fulfill the great commission. ____________Global Hope India: For over 20 years we have been watching God radically transform thousands of Americans & Indian Nationals through missions. Justin was roommates with Hamid while he was studying in India. While Justin has been a Christian, Hamid was not exposed to the gospel while growing up in Iran. He shares how he invited Hamid to go to church with him one time and Hamid agreed. Justin shares how Hamid started asking him about the service such as the song titles that he heard during the praise and worship, and the preaching. While Hamid asked questions, Justin tried his best to explain and made sure not to enforce anything. Hamid then asked if Justin can teach him how to read the Bible and this started the opportunity for Justin to walk Hamid through his journey of building Hamid’s faith in the Lord Jesus.Justin talks about an unfortunate incident that happened to Hamid which became the turning point that further strengthened his relationship with Christ. This also became an opportunity for Justin to demonstrate God’s generosity through him. Although he was not wealthy, he was merely following Jesus who gave everything and calls us to lay down our lives for our friends. And this was something that Hadid never forgets. He reminds Justin of that moment that Justin changed his life for it was one thing to invite someone to go to church, but it was another thing to open up his wallet for Hamid. Justin was called by God to be generous to him. Justin shares that what drove his relationship with other foreign born internationals is that there was zero pressure. Unconditional love was present in his relationships. He would remain friends with them even though they decided not to go with Justin to church. Before inviting them to church, a foundation of friendship has already been built.____________Global Hope India: For over 20 years we have been watching God radically transform thousands of Americans & Indian Nationals through missions. Foreigners have different reasons to live in a foreign land, away from their homeland and all they know. They could be there for education, health reasons, a chance to make their dream come true or perhaps to help the loved ones they had left behind. Perhaps they are there because they have been sent by their employer. Or maybe they had been sent by God Himself, sent with a destiny to help and enrich your community.A lot of people we have interviewed say that they sensed that God was calling them to come here, to strengthen the church here so that it may reach those far from God, including foreign born internationals. They were sent by the sovereignty of God and we live in this environment of living sent foreigners. Their family may have sent them, their employer may have sent them or they may have sent themselves, driven by a goal in mind. Destiny has sent them out, a gentle push from God and that is why these foreigners live sent. It is already in their DNA. By reaching foreign born internationals with the gospel and then partnering with them, this will open up so many opportunities for all of us. We can change not just our community but the entire world. We will be able to reach everyone and people from around the world will know that God is moving in our community.____________Global Hope India: For over 20 years we have been watching God radically transform thousands of Americans & Indian Nationals through missions. All believers are foreigners following a foreigner for Jesus Christ Himself was a foreigner, an immigrant and a refugee. Immigration is an important and relevant topic in our society, not for a political topic but for those who hold Jesus Christ as the center in their heart. Jesus was in the beginning with God and when the time came, He immigrated to earth to live with human beings, a foreigner surrounded by all of these different people. His visitation should have been held with joy and celebration yet, as seen in John 1:10-11, Jesus suffered the rejection of those who were like Him.He also knew how it was to live as an immigrant. As a child, He had to leave His home and run away to Egypt with His family. They had to escape to a foreign country, leaving behind everyone and everything they ever knew and cared for. Why? Because Jesus was a refugee as well. When Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem, the wise men asked King Herod where they may find the newborn King of the Jews so they may come and worship Him. King Herod wanted Jesus dead and asked that the wise men tell him where Jesus was when they find Him, lying that he wished to show worship to Him as well. It was only due to God’s warning that the wise men did not return to King Herod and, in his rage, King Herod ordered his soldiers to kill all boys age 2 and below. Jesus and His family escaped the king’s rage, warned by an angel who appeared in Joseph’s dream to take his family and escape to Egypt. There in a foreign country with no possession but the measly things they could gather before they hastily left before King Herod’s soldiers could catch them and without any friend or family to lean to, Jesus and His family had to stay until the angel came into Joseph’s dream once more to tell them it was safe to return to Israel.Even though they had returned, Joseph grew afraid of the new leader who had replaced King Herod and, once more, was warned to go to Galilee instead. He couldn’t even grow up in Bethlehem where He was born, instead growing up in Nazareth and being known as a Nazarene. As you can see, the Bible has made it clear that Jesus was a foreigner, an immigrant and a refugee. He understood what it was like to be all three and how to be a stranger in a foreign land, surrounded by people who do not know Him. Even his family heritage shows he is a refugee, including in the genealogy foreigners in Israel and women as well. He wasn’t just a refugee, He was the ultimate refugee. It is because He was a refugee himself that our Lord has a personal invested interest in the plight of the refugees, to anyone who has been displaced or had to leave their homeland, to those who have lost everything and those who had to leave everything behind.Jesus Christ reminds us that all that we do to others, we do to Him. For every hurtful word we say, for all the mistreatment we have done or even for all the time we have ignored them, we have also hurt and ignored our Lord. It is when we have blessed, shown kindness, take care of the immigrants, the refugees, the foreigners and the strangers living among us that we show our love and devotion to Jesus, that we have done our service to our Lord Jesus Christ. ____________Global Hope India: For over 20 years we have been watching God radically transform thousands of Americans & Indian Nationals through missions. All believers are to show hospitality to strangers. We are to keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers for by doing so, some of you have shown hospitality to angels. The church was put into existence to support one another as believers, including strangers who come to worship with the believers. So why should we welcome foreigners? We are all foreigners in God's eyes. All believers are strangers on earth. This is not just the people that were born in other lands. That is for every one reborn by the Holy spirit. This is a principle for God's people of all times. Moses instructed the Israelite not to sell any of the land permanently because the land belonged to God and they were only foreigners living there. Think of how graciously God treats us, the foreigners living in His world. His kindness to us can guide our thoughts and actions toward those living as strangers among us. Bottom line, all believers in Jesus Christ belonged to the kingdom of God.Ephesians 2:19, we read consequently, “you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God's people and also members of His household”. Following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature, by our very nature, we were subject to God's anger just like everyone else. But God is so rich in mercy and He loved us so much that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ. It is only by God's grace that you have been saved for him. He has raised us from the dead, along with Christ and seated us with Him in heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages, as examples of incredible wealth of His grace and kindness towards us as shown in all He has done for us who are united with Christ. We became citizens of heaven as we took the Lord Jesus for salvation. We should recognize that our citizenship and our home is in heaven. The reality is God's word says we are just as much an immigrant, we are just as much a refugee, we are just as much a stranger and a foreigner as anyone that you might be pointing the finger to on planet earth. The word is not for people who were foreign born internationals. The word is for the people of God. Every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ is considered an alien and a stranger to the earth.____________Global Hope India: For over 20 years we have been watching God radically transform thousands of Americans & Indian Nationals through missions.
